This blog is about innovative business models and partnerships designed to accelerate the usage and purchase of technology in emerging markets....basically, ideas and insights on how to bring the next billion online.
Technology-oriented social enterprises will also be covered as I believe that they could be interesting partners for high-tech firms. Social enterprises have extensive local knowledge and networks, but lack resources and technology. High-tech multinationals have extensive resources and technical capabilities, but may lack contact with on-the-ground initiatives and needs. Coupled together, social enterprises and high-tech firms could be formidable partners.

Is there a specific geographic area that you focus on?
BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India and China) countries as well as other fast-growing emerging economies in Latin America (e.g., Mexico), SE Asia (e.g., Indonesia, Vietnam), and Africa (e.g., South Africa and Nigeria). Eastern Europe and the Middle East to a lesser extent.
